Generic Uncertainty Parameter Analysis and Optimization of Series–Series Wireless Power Transfer System for Robust Controller Design

In a typical wireless power transfer (WPT) system, the load, mutual inductance, and required tuning frequency can vary in particular range. Variation of each parameter substantially impact dynamic characteristics system. Thus, they be considered as sources uncertainty To address this, robust control methods such μ-synthesis are developed to deal with possible system uncertainties. This article first undertakes generic analysis series–series WPT compensation network for two modes operation, i.e., constant output voltage (COV) mode current (COC) mode, presence three aforementioned sources. Subsequently, detuning function capacitor variation is explored broadened technique obtain optimized value that lead plant minimized deviations from its nominal operating range between COC COV modes. As such, this approach offers design procedure least conservative controller, which significantly improve performance. The structure corresponding designed controller comprehensively elaborated. theoretical achievements experimental results show superior performance compared operation.
